DESCRIPTION:Join us to keep the momentum moving to close Georgia’s coverage gap!\n\n\nCover Georgia is urging state leaders to take action to close Georgia’s coverage gap immediately to protect and improve health and well-being for all Georgians. We are asking you to join us on Monday\, February 26th for Cover Georgia’s 2024 advocacy day! During this event\, we will work together to educate our state leaders and let them know that we can no longer wait to provide Georgians with the health care they need and deserve\, regardless of how little money is in their wallets.\n\n\n\n\n\nAgenda\n8:30 am-Check in begins 9:00 am- Welcome\, Knetta Adkins\, Organizing Manager\, Georgians for a Healthy Future 9:10 am- Remarks from Laura Colbert\, Executive Director\, Georgians for a Healthy Future 9:15 am- Legislator remarks 9:20 am- What is the Coverage Gap? How to keep the momentum moving forward during the 2024 legislative session? Knetta Adkins 9:40 am- Advocacy Training “How to be an Effective Advocate” This is a great opportunity for those new to advocacy looking to get involved\, or serves as an important refresher for existing advocates.
